Wie versprochen dreht sich in dieser Folge alles um euch und eure Fragen. Ihr habt uns über Instagram jede Menge spannende, persönliche und unerwartete Fragen geschickt und wir haben versucht, so viele wie möglich davon zu beantworten. Von unserem Weg in die Wissenschaft über Promotion und Forschung bis hin zu Beziehungsfragen. Wir sprechen darüber, was wir überhaupt nicht können, ob Anna eigentlich noch reitet, ob Lisa endlich ein Hörbuch zu ihrem Buch bekommt und was wir als Kinder einmal werden wollten. Diese Episode ist eine bunte Mischung aus allem, was euch interessiert hat. Außerdem sprechen wir über Freizeit, Karriere und beantworten Fragen, die wir so bisher noch nie beantwortet haben.

Episode 4 is in the books und wir können jetzt schon sagen: Das war mit Abstand unsere längste Folge, einfach weil wir uns komplett in Rage geredet haben. Diesmal dreht sich alles um Wissenschaftskommunikation auf Social Media, unsere Reise dorthin und vor allem um die große Frage, warum Wissenschaftskommunikation auf Social Media im Wissenschaftssystem noch immer so kontrovers diskutiert wird. Wir beide erfahren selbst regelmäßig, dass Sichtbarkeit kritisch beäugt wird und es scheinbar feste Vorstellungen davon gibt, wie Wissenschaft kommuniziert werden sollte. Wir sprechen darüber, warum Social Media in der Wissenschaft oft noch nicht den Stellenwert hat, den es verdient, weshalb Clickbait nicht automatisch schlechtere Wissenschaftskommunikation bedeutet und warum wir denken, dass Wissenschaftskommunikation auf Social Media ein Karrierekiller ist!

Diese Folge widmet sich ganz dem Thema Promotion, die wir beide aufgrund unserer unterschiedlichen Anstellungsverhältnisse kaum unterschiedlicher erleben könnten. Während Lisa noch mitten in ihrer Promotion steckt, hat Anna ihre Dissertation kürzlich eingereicht. Wir sprechen darüber, warum wir uns überhaupt für eine Promotion entschieden haben, welche Ups and Downs uns begleiten beziehungsweise begleitet haben, welchen Schwierigkeiten wir im Wissenschaftssystem begegnen und begegnet sind und ob in einem solchen System überhaupt noch Platz für Individualität bleibt. Außerdem beantworten wir heute besonders viele eurer Fragen, denn ihr habt unseren Fragen-Button mal wieder komplett geflutet. Wie schön, dass ihr hier seid 👑 Jeden 2.
