De Onderwijstafel #13: LO in het onderwijs van vandaag
<p>Welke plaats neemt lichamelijke opvoeding vandaag in binnen het onderwijs? Wat leren leerlingen precies tijdens LO? En hoe kan het vak bijdragen aan de fysieke en sociale ontwikkeling van jongeren?</p><p>Tijdens deze onderwijstafel gaan experten uit het hoger onderwijs, onderzoek, het werkveld en studenten met elkaar in gesprek over de actuele uitdagingen voor het onderwijsvak lichamelijke opvoeding. Thema’s zoals het kennisrijk curriculum, de maatschappelijke relevantie van LO, de veranderende rol van de LO-leerkracht en kwaliteitsvolle evaluatie komen uitgebreid aan bod.</p><p>Met bijdragen van onder andere Peter Iserbyt (KU Leuven), Menno Slingerland (Fontys), Rosalie Coolkens (PXL), Jochim Spitz (PXL), Yoeri Nobels (werkveld KSD + PXL) en Noor Vossen (student LO & Gezondheidsopvoeding PXL), onder moderatie van Michelle Dewulf, departementshoofd Lerarenopleiding PXL.</p>

<p>In deze aflevering gaan we in gesprek met professor Christian Laes over de blijvende waarde van Latijn en geschiedenis in het onderwijs. Waarom zijn deze vakken relevant? En hoe dragen ze bij aan een kennisrijk curriculum dat leerlingen helpt de wereld beter te begrijpen? We verkennen hoe de oudheid niet alleen een venster op het verleden biedt, maar ook een krachtig middel is om kritisch denken, taalvaardigheid en historisch inzicht te ontwikkelen. Daarnaast bespreken we hoe leraren leerlingen kunnen onderdompelen in de antieke wereld en wat dit betekent voor de lerarenopleiding van morgen.</p>
