[…] Back then, about a fifth of African exports. Today, 1 20th. Africa had no real capital to speak of back then. Today, $2 trillion in capital. Two thirds of mobile money value is African. And when you think of these significant changes, and there are many others, oh, importantly, there were not many alternatives at the time. Today, there's China, there's the Gulf, there's Europe, there are potentially other parts of Asia as potential trading partners for Africa. So Africa has optionality that it didn't have then.
