LWP Series 3 Episode 6 - Saints grab a point at Ashton Gate and two Saintsmen do the right thing
Another busy week for the Ladies Wot Pod - we talk new contracts, our dear friend Pete Nuttall and the Super League Grand Final, training where we saw some spectacular jumping. Whilst Lis headed north Claire headed to Goldington Road for Lightning’s game against Saracens. The women’s discovered that GR really does have a slope!
On Saturday, Saints headed to Ashton Gate. We do talk about the match and we do talk about Dave’s rantings from the sofa. We do award the LWP Player of the Match and award the Sgt Wilson award to two Saintsmen who did the right thing.
We review the rest of the Gallagher PREM games and remind Dave that Saints are still in the play off spots.
We do talk about Bedford’s trip to Rotherham which had a heartbreaking end.
And we again talk about the Top 14 which is frankly proving to be bonkers!
No news from Towcester and NSB - they will be back!
And we have loads to look forward to this week. Loughborough are off to Sandy Park, it’s Ladies Day at Bedford and Saints host Bath.

LWP Series 3 Episode 4 - Northamptons Saints win against Black Lion and we have a new village that needs a name!
As chaotic as ever, we bounce around the news from the week as we talk about the new Saints village, Freemo’s new contract and headshots with Bedford Blues. We do talk about the game against Black Lion where Lis welcomed the refereeing team whilst Haloing, we saw the return of the internationals and we watched an enjoyable if one-sided game. And we need a name for the covered area in the village!!
We think we are going to watch and talk about our front row’s hair and facial hair. It seems to be a big part of their success. And as we heard a load of Ooohs at Friday’s game, we may have an ongoing Oooometer this season.
We do award the LWP Player of the Match and there is an unusual Sgt Wilson award.
We do talk Bedford who endured a difficult trip to Worcester and we talk Lightning who battled hard but eventually lost in the north west. And we talk WXV news as the Red Roses battled against Canada.
And we again talk about the Top 14 which is frankly proving to be bonkers!
Meanwhile, we have U12’s news from Towcester and NSB - it’s been a busy week for Harry.

LWP Series 3 Episode 3 - Of young Saints in London again, Blues vs Bath & Lightning news!
Where Claire and Lis talk about the goings on at Saints, Lightning and Blues. We start with training where Edo Todaro provided an interesting soundtrack to his rehab work whilst Kev B chased a parcel around the Gardens. We do talk about Saints trip to the Stoop where again we were impressed by Saints’ youngsters and a debutant who used to play at Saints. Claire caught up with an old friend of the pod who Is listening to us!
We do pick out our Ladies Wot Pod player of the match and Sgt Wilson award - it’s great to be back in the swing of it.
We do talk Bedford and their news of a campaign to Save Our Scrum as the Scrum bar needs a new roof. Claire helped the team by taking photos of the new away shirt and supporting the campaign by doing some photography stuff.
We hear news from France where Claire’s credentials as any sort of pundit were trashed by this weekend’s results. And we hear news from the Champions Cup launch where things didn’t quite go to plan.
And we have Lightning news as they headed to Buckingham and on Saturday Rugby Fest 2.0 happened at the Gardens.
Meanwhile, we have U12’s news from Towcester and NSB. The International Man of Mystery was just too busy…
And we have loads to look forward to this week. Black Lion, Worcester and yet again Claire’s punditry is rubbish because Lightning are off up north to play Sale Sharks Women!
