Slow In The Head Leeds 0-0 Crystal Palace Reaction, Five Games Unbeaten & Arsenal Away Preview
Five games, five without defeat, and somehow it feels flat. Leeds ground out a goalless draw with Palace to stay unbeaten, but this was nothing like the Newcastle night. Two shots on target. A Palace goal chalked off by VAR on 53. And a manager who said his side were "a bit too slow in the head at times."
In this episode we unpack why Leeds were so blunt. Were Palace just well organised, or was this an off day? We get into Calvert-Lewin fed on scraps, Bogle's best game of the season, and Anton Stach looking nothing like last year. Plus the stat that reframes it: Leeds shaded the xG, 1.36 to 0.74.

Justice for DCL! | Leeds 4-1 Newcastle Reaction: Calvert-Lewin Brace, Third in the Table & Palace
We discuss a statement night under the Elland Road lights, as Leeds United blew Newcastle away 4-1 on Monday Night Football to stay unbeaten and climb to third in the Premier League. Three goals in 14 first-half minutes, a Dominic Calvert-Lewin double, and Matthias Jaissle's first defeat as Newcastle boss.
In this episode we unpack a relentless first half: Ao Tanaka's deflected opener, Dominic Calvert-Lewin bullying Sven Botman all night, and Noah Okafor's cool finish to make it four. James Justin's cross for the second deserves its own segment. Eight points from four games. Only Arsenal and Man City above us.
We get into the goal that launched a thousand memes. Calvert-Lewin's header was first credited to Jayden Bogle, Bogle said it never touched him, DCL called it "scandalous" and Leeds appealed. Now the Premier League appeals panel has given the goal back to DCL, taking him to three for the season. Rocco is joined by Isaac Johnson of Leeds Live to look back on a tidy start to the season and a summer window Isaac reckons is near perfect.
