[…] Is it simply that we're trying to take it all in when traveling? Everything is new and exotic and different, and so our eyes are everywhere. seeing everything. And when we do that, we end up making interesting pictures, travel pictures, interesting people, interesting locations, interesting landscapes. Is it simply that the special place is in fact special? Or is it that we're looking at it differently and that makes it special? If it's true that we're simply trying to take it all in, the question arises, can we purposely develop that take-it-all-in attitude at will, at home. After all, a visitor from some distant land might travel to your hometown with that very same take-it-all-in mindset and be as fascinated with your everyday experiences as we are when we travel to exotic locations.
