一段關係結束、一個機會錯過、一句話已經說出口。再怎麼反覆想,都沒有辦法把時間倒轉。
可是「接受」這兩個字,常常讓人很抗拒。
接受是不是代表我認輸了?是不是要原諒?是不是從此只能這樣?
這一集,我們從越戰戰俘 James Stockdale 的故事,談到心理學裡的 Radical Acceptance「徹底接納」。
接納不等於贊同、不等於原諒,也不等於沒有情緒。
更重要的是:接納,不等於投降。
This is now,不等於 This is it。
你可以承認「現在就是這樣」,同時繼續問自己:接下來,我還能選擇什麼?
最後,我們會用三個步驟,把這個概念帶回生活裡:說事實、畫界線、走一步。
有些事情真的改不了了,但你仍然可以決定,下一步往哪裡走。
