Barefoot shoes have become more popular within day-to-day footwear, with brands like Vivobarefoot beginning to appear on the highstreet. But can any of the principles be applied to cycling? Goldy looking chains and more tech from the Tour de France Grand Depart
In the latest edition of Off the Back, the podcast from Cycling Weekly, Aaron Borrill takes us through all the tech he spotted at the Tour de France. From Remco Evenepoel's gold chain to 3D printed parts and at least one bike that could do with shaving some weight. Every year, before the start of the Tour de France, tech journalists descend on team hotels hoping to get up close and personal with the bikes about to ridded in the race. Although many new bikes were spotted at the Tour Auvergne Rhone Alpes in early June, at the Tour you get to see everyone's machines.
