About Private Practice Success Stories
My name is Jena Castro-Casbon, MS CCC-SLP (of The Independent Clinician and The Private Practice Solution). I am part of a group of private practitioners who have taken client care into our own hands. We are skilled clinicians who pride ourselves on providing high-quality care to our clients and their families. We are fighting against productivity requirements, administrative red tape and unnecessary restrictions. We started our own private practices to take control of our professional and personal lives. Of our schedules. Of our incomes. Of our future. We work hard for our clients but on our terms. We believe in helping others – but also helping ourselves. We’re not interested in competing with each other. We hope that we all make it. We are successful private practitioners and these are our stories. I'm a speech-language pathologist, a mom, and the owner of Free To Be Me Therapy in Miami, Florida. I started this practice in 2022, and we're primarily home-based, but... We've also expanded into schools through a contract with charter schools here in Miami-Dade. And we also offer teletherapy as well. And when I first became an SLP, I would have never, ever imagined that I would own my own practice and then be hiring clinicians like I am now.
