DONDORF DRUCKEREI – GESTERN, HEUTE, MORGEN
Während ihrer Sanierung gastiert die SCHIRN in der ehemaligen Dondorf Druckerei – ein geschichtsträchtiger Ort und ein Zentrum vielfältiger Debatten der Stadtgesellschaft. In dieser Sonderfolge sprechen wir mit Menschen, die mit dem Haus eng verbunden sind. Wie verstehen sie dessen Vergangenheit, Gegenwart und Zukunft? Die Geschichte des Unternehmers Bernhard Dondorf und seiner gleichnamigen Druckerei in Frankfurt Bockenheim ist ein exemplarischer Teil der Frankfurter Stadtgeschichte. Sie ist ein einzigartiges Zeugnis jüdischer Gewerbegeschichte, der Frankfurter Industrie- und Arbeitergeschichte sowie einer Kultur- und Kunstgeschichte, die weit über die Stadt hinausreicht. Für die nächsten zwei Jahre ist die SCHIRN in der ehemaligen Dondorf Druckerei zu Gast. Dies nehmen wir zum Anlass, einigen der vielen Stimmen und Menschen Raum zu geben, die mit der Geschichte des Hauses eng verbunden sind.
