Ep. 6 - Life in Châteauneuf-du-Pape & working in a family vineyard: A chat with Paige and Henri

Welcome to Episode 6!

Today on the podcast I’m talking with Paige and Henri. Paige, originally from Texas and Henri from Provence met in London. After a year of dating, Henri moved back to France to study viticulture and winemaking and to begin working with his parents developing their family winery in Châteauneuf-du-Pape in the Côtes du Rhône region. At this time they were dating long distance. Henri proposed to Paige and they got married in London, literally two days before the pandemic and the first lockdown started. Thankfully they were able to get married before because it meant that Paige was able to join Henri in Provence, and therefore that’s how their marriage began and their life together in the beautiful region of Provence.

On the podcast we talk about all things wine! The story of how Henri's family obtained vines in Châteauneuf-du-Pape and what it's like to work in a family winery. They also share so many great recommendations around choosing wine, food you must try and what to do when visiting Provence.

Follow Along:

- Paige's Instagram: @chateauneuf.du.paige

- Winery's Instagram: @brunavril

- Winery’s website: www.domaine-brun-avril.com

Show notes:

https://www.takemetoprovence.com/blog/ep-6-nbsplife-in-chteauneuf-du-pape-a-chat-withnbsp-paige-and-henri

Follow the podcast on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/takemetoprovence/
