[…] There are three main symptoms of teacher burnout, three main symptoms. So number one, emotional exhaustion. If we always or often feel depleted, if we have severe fatigue, if we have no energy, That could be emotional exhaustion that we're experiencing, and that could be a symptom of teacher burnout. Number two, depersonalization. This one really struck me in the blog. This is becoming detached from the human side of the work. So all this stuff about our job that's human, we start to feel negative about it or we detach ourselves from it. So we have negative feelings towards students, we feel irritable, and frankly, we feel irritable quickly. […]
