[…] And that would be what I would consider a good easy run. For a lot of people, that's 40 to 60 minutes. And then I ask, what is a long run? If you think before you do this, that I'm getting ready for a long run, what is that distance for you? Is it time? Is it mileage? Is it eight to 10 miles? Then start with eight and next week go nine. And the week after that, go 10 and then drop it down to eight and then go 10 and then 11, drop it back down to nine. But scripting it so that you progress, you just nudge the line forward bit by bit. It's a really simple, effective way to build out your long run. […]
