Because sometimes it's just not the right relationship or the right time or the right timing. And that is totally okay. I am not at all discounting getting referrals from past clients. It can be a great and amazing strategy. But I think looking for referral partners where you're both serving the same client is mutually beneficial for both of you because you're sending business to each other.
