[…] It belongs to all of us. It's good that we don't act on it, but that doesn't mean that it's not yet a sin and guilty. In that way, our flesh is an ally with the world and the devil who are always pushing us to sin in every different way. So the devil wants to push our flesh to want the wrong things, push our mind to think the wrong things, push our lips to speak the wrong things, push our bodies to do the wrong things. And so that enticement to do the wrong thing is what we normally think of as temptation. And it comes from the world of flesh and the devil. The question is, how could Jesus have been tempted, incited to sin, if he didn't have a sinful flesh? […]
