It’s no secret that quitting smoking is hard.
With a cultural narrative that paints nicotine addiction as permanent and marijuana addiction as nonexistent, too many of us get stuck believing we can’t quit.
You Can Quit Smoking is here to challenge that belief. Each episode shares real stories from people just like you who’ve made it to the other side and are now thriving.
Tune in for honest, inspiring conversations that remind you that quitting is possible.
Jani didn’t like being addicted to smoking, but found herself trapped in a cycle with it due to many contributing factors of her childhood, neurodivergence, and navigating adulthood in a new country. She struggled to quit, going as long as eight months at time before falling back into the habit from “just having a couple pulls.” Jani finally found her way out by following her heart’s wisdom and soothing her busy mind and hands with artistic expression.
About Jani:
Jani is a professional sculptor, as well as a rising conscious and transformational coach with a focus on remembering who you are and your purpose.

🌀Struggling with Cravings?
I’ve been there! It took me 15 years to quit smoking because I had no tools to cope with the physical and emotional intensity of cravings.
That’s why I created a free minicourse of the tools and mindset shifts that actually worked for me to finally quit smoking for good.
I hope the minicourse can help you move forward on your own path to quitting smoking.

EP66: Smoking as a Reflection of What She Felt She Deserved- Jeannie McIntire
Originally trying to be cool by smoking, Jeannie came to see the habit as anything but. She felt it kept others at a distance and carried deep shame around both the habit and her struggle to quit for good. Though she disliked it, she leaned on smoking as an emotional crutch for years. After a life crisis, Jeannie turned inward and realized the direct link between her self-esteem and smoking. Given the right opportunity, she quit in a deeply meaningful way that ultimately expanded her joy, connection, and presence in life.
About Jeannie:
Jeannie McIntire is the host of Growing Up Late, a podcast about reinvention, resilience, identity, and becoming who you were always meant to be, even when that becoming happens later than expected. After smoking for decades, Jeannie quit on February 2, 2012, a decision that became part of a much larger transformation in how she saw herself and what was possible for her life. Today, she brings honesty, humor, and hard-earned wisdom to conversations about personal growth, identity shifts, and creating a life you genuinely love.
