Literature tells us about the past, shows us the present, and lets us look to the future. Literature allows us to truly live in different worlds and experience a wide variety of lives; Literature teaches us about society and, more importantly, about ourselves; Literature teaches us what love is, and what hate is, what constraint is and what freedom is. Literature lights up the world.
The love for literature brings us together here. BElit is a podcast created by two international students who is passionate about literature. BElit contains both the initials of the two founders Bella and Emily's names and the word “literature”. BElit also shows what we believe is the relationship between people and literature - to light up and be lit up.
In the days ahead, we invite you to join us on the journey to find the beauty of literature. We will explore a book or a theme in each podcast episode. Reading the text aloud, as we revel in it together. Analyzing the text, where we feel the intensity of the words up close and personal. Connecting to modern society, using literature as a flashlight to illuminate society and as a guiding light for tomorrow.
