[…] So these are the latest numbers. And that number is projected to almost double, reaching over 13 million by 2050. So it's definitely growing rapidly. And Alzheimer's is only one cause of dementia. There are others too. So the need for evaluation and care is... probably going to grow faster than just the rate at which Alzheimer's is growing. And the growth is largely coming from the aging population. So when it's great that health technologies and improvement in lifestyle is making Americans live longer, but diseases of the elderly like Alzheimer's are likely to grow in prevalence as a result of that, which means that more families will be seeking care and often beginning in primary care.
