So Iran has said that it will reopen the Strait of Hormuz within seven days if the U.S. eases military pressure and lifts its blockade on Iranian ports. This is according to a scoop by quite a random source, I think Japan's Kyoto News Agency. They've spoken to a senior Iranian official who says that this new initiative has been approved by Supreme Leader Majdaba Khamenei and the Supreme National Security Council. President Massoud Pejishkan is flying right now to New York to speak at the UN tomorrow. He's going to be the highest ranking Iranian official to set foot on American soil since the start of this war. […]
