I use those characters as a way to to kind of narrate and explain the many isms in the book. Islamism, nationalism, pan-Arabism and Zionism, Marxism and all the rest of it. And so, you know, partly that's the story that we're seeing here. There are lots of sort of clichés which are constantly spouted by podcasting hot takers and on sort of social media that are just kind of almost instantly kind of disproved just by a quick look at actual events.
