D-VELO-P cycling training podcast turns 1 year! Our dorky coaching duo Erik and Fredrik has discussed cycling training and related topics for a year now, and we wanted to put extra effort into this one. So we decided to make the episode like an After Action Review, looking back at:
Podcast analysis:
- The goals and expectations before starting the podcast
- What has happened
- Why it happened
Learning for the future:
- What we'll continue doing
- What we'll stop doing
- What we'll start doing
So we decided to cut in our favorite clips from our three most listened episodes, Erik's topp three episodes and Fredrik's top three episode.
Listen and enjoy!

#52: Fredrik's Intensity-Based Categorization Model
D-VELO-P's dorky coaching duo Erik and Fredrik discussing cycling training and related topics. In this weeks episode they are breaking down an Intensity-Based Categorization Model, presented by Stöggl and colleauges (2024), bur retwisted and renewed a bit by Fredrik himself.
In this episode we (well, mostly Fredrik) try and break down this model into pieces and explain how athletes and coaches can use this to navigate the complexities that comes with intensity (which is just one dimension).
