I would say appreciation is the one most important characteristic that leads to success! It is the one "skill" I would wish all people to get a little better at, just because it is so powerful. Gratitude will not only give you happiness and set you on the path to success but
it has the power to change other people's life!
When we appreciate the things we have, we build up our work ethic and creativity, urgency to do more and achieve more. We will want to have more of what we see as valuable and also open to give more, exactly because we understand how good something is.
If you want to set yourself up for success i will encourage you to do a little routine every morning! After you wake up, take 10 minutes to clear your mind and just be thankful of whatever good you have in your life. Appreciate, and good things will come to you!

Amelia Boone is a successful attorney and one of the toughest endurance athletes. After a serious injury she reflects on what keeps her going, how to stay driven & how to develop strong work ethic.
Amelia Boone is a corporate attorney at Apple and an obstacle course-racing athlete. Three-times winner of the grueling and 24-hour World's Toughest Mudder challenge. She shares what she learnt from a year of being injured: fear, regret, worry of not being able to come back to success. I love that she states that it is not about being your old self but to learn and continue as a new person, rediscover yourself and be even better. A quote I always remind myself is: "The race is long and at the end is only with yourself!".
A very important point in this Amelia Boone inspirational thought is that it is okay not to know everything about yourself, you do not need to define what you are, because that way you are limiting yourself! Challenge, redefine yourself always!
