EP57｜林哲安╳來羽林聊天：翅膀比人還高的海上巨鳥？短尾信天翁從一年一隻到爆量現身
翅膀張開比一個人還高，全程翱翔完全不用拍動翅膀——這樣的畫面，台灣海邊真的看得到嗎？ 延續上一集「賞鳥人的大航海時代」，這集林哲安要帶大家認識幾位東澳海上的明星主角。第一位登場的是短尾信天翁：多數人對海鳥的印象不外乎黑黑灰灰，但牠全身雪白、翅膀黑白相間、嘴是粉紅色、頭是鮮黃色，展翅超過兩米，是全台灣體型最大的海鳥。更特別的是，牠剛出生時是全黑的，要花好幾年慢慢褪成白色，等於每隻個體都長得不一樣，是少數能做個體辨識的鳥類。 百年前短尾信天翁曾在澎湖、澎佳嶼繁殖過，如今只剩釣魚台和日本鳥島還有族群。東澳出海剛開始的前兩年，一整年才看得到一隻，讓哲安和團員一度懷疑「我們出海怎麼會看輸陸地？」但到了第三、四、五年，數量直接「搭電梯往上」，今年單季目擊個體數就有二十幾隻——這背後牽涉到經驗累積、漁場變化,還有日本長年保育成功的成果，連日本信天翁愛好者都特地飛來台灣朝聖。 第二位主角是黑腳信天翁：全世界二十幾種信天翁裡，只有三種是黑色的,而台灣正好是少數能穩定看到黑腳信天翁的地方，幾乎每趟出海都有「保證班」。最後聊到大水薙鳥——台灣海域最穩定的海鳥,卻意外成為外國鳥人心中的夢幻目標鳥,「在地最熟悉的鳥,變成別人最想要的鳥」,這種反差感讓哲安直呼「打破三觀」。 如果你也好奇台灣海上到底藏著多少驚喜，這集絕對不能錯過。 喜歡這集的話，記得訂閱來羽林聊天，在 SoundOn、Apple Podcasts、Spotify、KKBOX 、Youtube還有羽林官網都找得到我們！ -- Hosting provided by <a href="https://www.soundon.fm/">SoundOn</a>

EP56｜林哲安╳來羽林聊天：出海九小時只為那三秒鐘？台灣海鳥大航海時代
如果有人跟你說，要在海上搖晃九個小時、冒著暈船的風險、花一整天的時間——就為了那可能只有三秒鐘的一個黑點——你會去嗎？ 本集我們邀請到宜蘭東澳海鳥團團主林哲安，來聊聊台灣賞鳥人的「大航海時代」是怎麼開始的。 故事的起點，竟然是 COVID-19 疫情。那幾年，台灣的鳥人出不了國、悶壞了，索性開始「包船出海找樂子」。一看，嚇了一跳——台灣的海鳥世界，原來這麼迷人，也這麼未知。從龜山島、北方三島，一路往南探索，最後在宜蘭東澳找到了最穩定的基地，「東澳幫」就此誕生。哲安自己，至今已出海超過 120 趟。 這集聊了很多「眉角」：出海九到十小時，暈船到底怎麼辦？（基因決定一半，睡飽治百病。）什麼是管鼻目？為什麼信天翁的鼻子長得像吸管？海鳥的季節怎麼分？信天翁在 1 到 4 月、水薙鳥春秋兩個高峰、穴鳥和海燕要等到仲夏——想集滿，只能一趟趟地去碰運氣。 東澳為什麼是看海鳥的好地方？因為這裡是深淺水域的過渡帶，加上 W 形海底峽谷攪動海流，食物資源豐富，連抹香鯨都跑來覓食。哲安帶我們認識了兩個秘密熱點：大水薙鳥的「老巢」，以及鳥種類最驚人的「神秘海溝」。 更厲害的是，東澳海鳥團已和台大野生動物實驗室合作，在海上成功捕獲大水薙鳥並安裝發報器——那隻鳥，現在已經飛去日本了。大水薙鳥一天飛行距離三百公里，從釣魚台飛到東澳吃個飯再飛回去，就是牠的「出門買早餐」。 科學的盡頭是玄學，海鳥的盡頭也是玄學。如果你對台灣這片海域還很陌生，這集是最好的入門。 喜歡這集的話，記得訂閱來羽林聊天，在 SoundOn、Apple Podcasts、Youtube、Spotify、KKBOX 或羽林生態官網都找得到我們！ -- Hosting provided by <a href="https://www.soundon.fm/">SoundOn</a>
