民族英雄—刘铭传
<p style="color:#333333;font-weight:normal;font-size:16px;line-height:30px;font-family:Helvetica,Arial,sans-serif;hyphens:auto;text-align:justify;" data-flag="normal">刘铭传（1836年9月7日—1896年1月12日），字省三，自号大潜山人，因排行第六、脸上有麻点，人称“刘六麻子”。安徽合肥西乡（今属肥西县大潜山麓）人，原籍江西进贤县紫溪村 。中国清末政治家 、军事家、诗人，民族英雄，首任福建台湾巡抚 。 <br>咸丰四年（1854年），刘铭传在乡办团练，对抗捻军和太平军，擢千总。同治元年（1862年），率部加入淮军，称“铭字营”，长期在苏浙地区镇压太平军，由参将、副将、总兵升至记名提督。三年后晋升直隶提督。曾倡议用兜围战术围攻捻军。同治七年（1868年），督办陕西军务，率部镇压回民军。光绪六年（1880年），上书议论军事，主张借洋债修铁路，所议虽未能施行，但成为了近代国人向清政府提议修铁路之始。光绪十年（1884年），奉命督办台湾军务，在基隆和沪尾（今淡水）一带抗击法军八个月。光绪十一年（1885年），台湾建省，他出任首任福建台湾巡抚。光绪十七年（1891年），因受冷遇排挤而辞职，被清廷加授兵部尚书衔，奉命帮办海军军务。不久后告病归家，数年后病逝。清廷追赠太子太保，谥号“壮肃” 。遗著有《刘壮肃公奏议》《大潜山房诗稿》等。 <br>刘铭传“二十从戎，三十而拥疆寄，声施灿然，为时名将”。在台任职期间，丈田清赋、筑炮台、办铁路、开煤矿及设学堂等，对台湾的开发作出巨大贡献 ，为台湾的现代化奠定了深远的基础。后世有“台湾洋务运动之父”和“台湾近代化之父”之誉 。关于刘铭传的遗址遗迹遍布海峡两岸 ，两岸民众共同视其为民族英雄 。<br><br></p>

力平陕甘，收复新疆—左宗棠
<p style="color:#333333;font-weight:normal;font-size:16px;line-height:30px;font-family:Helvetica,Arial,sans-serif;hyphens:auto;text-align:justify;" data-flag="normal">左宗棠（1812年11月10日—1885年9月5日），字季高，一字朴存，号湘上农人，湖南湘阴人。中国近代民族英雄、政治家、军事家、诗人，洋务派代表人物之一。<br>左宗棠在道光十二年（1832年）中举人，后来屡试不第，但留意农事，遍读群书，钻研舆地、兵法，任湖南巡抚骆秉章幕僚，参赞戎机，抵抗太平军。后由曾国藩保举，特旨为四品京堂，率兵号“楚军”，与太平军作战，为扭转战局之关键人物，历官浙江巡抚、闽浙总督、陕甘总督、协办大学士、东阁大学士，封二等恪靖侯。光绪元年（1875年）任钦差大臣督办新疆军务，讨伐阿古柏，收复失地。中、俄伊犁交涉中，主张“先之以谈判，继之以战阵”。光绪七年（1881年），任军机大臣，调两江总督，后病殁福州。<br>左宗棠是清末湘军首领之一，一生经历了湘军平定太平天国运动、洋务运动和收复新疆维护中国统一等重要历史事件，其还造就了一批优秀的中国近代工业技术人才和杰出的海军将士，在中国近代史上写下了浓墨重彩的一笔，为中国近代化的先驱者、近代中国国家主权完整的捍卫者、中国优秀传统文化的发展者、传承者。与曾国藩、张之洞、李鸿章并称为“晚清中兴四大名臣”。左宗棠著有《楚军营制》《朴存阁农书》等。<br><br></p>

立德立功立言三不朽—曾国藩
<p style="color:#333333;font-weight:normal;font-size:16px;line-height:30px;font-family:Helvetica,Arial,sans-serif;hyphens:auto;text-align:justify;" data-flag="normal">曾国藩（1811年11月26日—1872年3月12日），字伯涵，号涤生 ，湖南湘乡人（今双峰县荷叶镇） ，是“晚清第一名臣”、 战略家、理学家、文学家、 湘军的创立者和统帅。 <br>曾国藩原名子城。道光十八年（1838年）中进士，入翰林院；后升迁内阁学士，兵部侍郎和礼部侍郎。 咸丰二年（1852年）奉命前往南下主持乡试，途中其母去世，获准还乡，丁忧守制。咸丰三年（1853年）又奉谕组建湖南乡勇，即“湘军”。次年于田家镇大胜北伐的太平军。同治三年（1864年）攻陷天京。次年奉命赴北方镇压捻军起义。同治五年（1866年）被清廷赐予一等“毅勇”侯封号，是文官中获此封爵的第一人。同年在安庆大营建立起官办学局，重印经史典籍。同治六年（1867年），拜大学士。次年出任直隶总督。同治九年（1870年），奉命调查并处理“天津教案”。因对西方列强采取谋求和解的策略，次年又被调回南京原任。同治十一年（1872年）病逝。 <br>曾国藩善于讲“道德”说“仁义”，对程朱理学推崇备至。 促使清地方官员中满汉比例变化。“内轻外重” 的局面开始出现。 曾国藩工诗与古文。其诗宗苏轼、黄庭坚，雄峻排奡；其文宗法桐城而能扩大，变雅洁为雄肆。 曾国藩还创立晚清古文的“湘乡派”。 与胡林翼并称“曾胡”，与李鸿章、左宗棠、张之洞并称“晚清中兴四大名臣”。<br><br></p>
