🌏Article
Many people get nervous when speaking in front of a crowd. But you may need to do presentations as part of your job, give a speech at a wedding or just want to overcome this fear. So here is some advice to help.
Plan what you'll say
Take some time to prepare what you're going to talk about before the event. It's also a good idea to think about what questions the audience may ask and how you would answer them.
Practice
Public speaking is a skill, and the only way to get better at a skill is to practice. So try speaking in front of your friends or family and ask for feedback, or record yourself to see where you think you could improve.
Think about your fears
You may feel afraid of public speaking in general, but if you think about what specific things might happen if something goes wrong — whether it's falling on stage or forgetting your words — you'll realise that it likely wouldn't be as bad as you think.
Focus on helping your audience
Instead of focusing on how nervous you feel, think about your audience and how your speech might help them.
🌏Summary
🌏Words & Phrases
🌏References
Article: Engoo Daily News
(https://engoo.com.tw/app/daily-news/article/how-to-overcome-the-fear-of-public-speaking/PM6AoAYhEeybn79U8G4HXA)

(Neil)
(Julia Yang)
-----
Apple|Spotify|Google|KKBOX|Fistory|SoundOn
Follow me
-----

Powered by Firstory Hosting

🌏Article
As e-foils have become popular in the past few years, more and more people have been going to the beach not to swim, but to fly.
Unlike traditional hydrofoil surfboards, e-foils have a propeller that allows them to work without the need for wind or waves.
However, some people worry about the safety of these vehicles.
Speaking to Designboom, Jerry McArthur of HydroFlyer, an e-foil company, said he loves e-foils, but he was afraid to teach his friends and family after seeing people have bad accidents while learning. He wanted to find a way to make e-foils safer for everyone while still being fun.
So he designed HydroFlyer's e-foils with handlebars to make them easier to use. With the handlebars — which can also be removed — the company promises that even a beginner can learn to ride in less than 15 minutes.
But that comes with a cost. While most e-foils cost between about $4,000 and $12,000, HydroFlyer's e-foils start at about $14,000.
Riders can make the vehicle go faster or slower by using a controller on the handlebars. And at a speed of 6-7 kilometers per hour, it will start to rise out of the water.
"That's when it feels like flying," McArthur said.

🌏Summary

🌏Words & Phrases
hydrofoil水翼
propeller螺旋槳
design設計
References
Article: Engoo Daily News
(https://engoo.com.tw/app/daily-news/article/hydroflyer-lets-you-learn-to-fly-at-the-beach/unjRlv_5Eeu1_dOSiFZnrQ)

(Neil)
(Julia Yang)
-----
Apple|Spotify|Google|KKBOX|Fistory|SoundOn
Follow me
-----

Powered by Firstory Hosting
