In de weken na het merkwaardige interview in Berlijn krijgen Anna en Amir steeds vaker ruzie met elkaar en met collega’s. Tegelijkertijd krijgt Anna steeds meer ruzie met haar man en kinderen, en Amir met zijn man. Hoe doet Ares dit? En met welk doel? Anna en Amir krijgen de CEO van Ares consultancy te spreken: een Amerikaanse vrouw die Amanda heet.
