[…] So you brought up deregulation. Is deregulation another phrase for no regulation or breaking the rules or something? Am I right in how I understand that? In a normal time, yes, a deregulation would say, let's cut bureaucracy, let's cut sort of government oversight in very specific areas that could cross across any policy decision. However, you bring up an interesting point, and I think this is where your brain is going. We're seeing deregulation in a way that deeply favors certain corporate players in public lands. So not only are they deregulating and taking away, trying to roll back NEPA requirements, National Environmental Policy Act, or not following kind of FLIPMA procedure when the public is supposed to be able to provide feedback on this stuff.
