When "You're Fine" Isn't a Full Story: Rethinking Longevity with Whole-Body MRI
You can pass a routine physical exam, hear “you’re fine,” and still have something serious going on. Dr. Pooja Singh lived that as a kid. Doctors attributed her symptoms to anxiety, and three cardiologists on three continents agreed. Then further imaging revealed the congenital heart disease she had carried since birth.
On Own Your Heart Health, Dr. Regina Druz talks with Dr. Singh, a physician at Prenuvo who likes to chase the rare diagnoses others miss. They look at what a whole-body MRI can add to preventive medicine and early disease detection. Dr. Singh explains why her team treats it as a supplemental health screening tool and how a color-coded scoring system sorts each finding by urgency.
She also shares the story of a mother who booked scans for her whole family and scheduled herself last. Dr. Regina ties that pattern to women’s heart health and the symptoms she still sees dismissed. Both doctors make the case for patient advocacy and for medical technology used as part of a real partnership with your care team.
Dr. Regina also asks why cardiology training still centers on heart attacks in people who might have benefited from cardiovascular prevention 20 or 30 years earlier. If longevity and health optimization matter to you, press play to hear how personalized medicine and a whole-body MRI may fit into a smarter plan for your health. This is education, not medical advice. Talk with your own healthcare provider before you book a scan or make changes.

The Hormone Whiplash
More than two decades ago, women were warned about the heart risks associated with hormone replacement therapy. Today, some hear the opposite. If you are trying to sort out hormone replacement therapy and heart disease, the mixed messages are real, and Dr. Regina Druz has lived through both sides of them.
This remix of Own Your Heart Health brings together conversations about the changing medical guidance on hormones and heart health. She recalls the day she was told to call every patient and stop their prescriptions. Dr. Lorraine Maita revisits the Prempro era and the fallout from the Women's Health Initiative. Longevity physician Dr. Amy Killen weighs in on timing, delivery route, and how the evidence has changed the conversation around hormone therapy's boxed warnings. Dr. Regina also discusses high blood pressure during perimenopause, why she pays attention to it in women in their 40s, and what the numbers reveal about cardiovascular risk.
Then preventive cardiologist Dr. Arash Bereliani takes on the question at the center of it all. Does hormone therapy protect the heart? Dr. Regina agrees with much of his answer, but one gap in the evidence keeps her from going further.
Press play to hear where she lands on hormone replacement therapy and heart disease, and what women in their 40s and 50s should discuss with their doctors. This episode is for education, so talk with your own healthcare provider before making any changes.
